The 2021 Nike LeBron 18 Goat maintains a rather understated color palette, with “Black/Pale Ivory” adorning much of the shoe from mid-foot to forefoot. The “power”-oriented tooling at the heel, however, nod to the G.O.A.T. accolade, featuring Spanish words “la cabra,” “campeona” and “mejor ganadar” (“the goat,” “champion” and “best winner.”) Ostensibly, the story of the “Three Billy Boats Gruff” served as inspiration for the design direction given that a “3” (and “Tres”) randomly appears across the heel, while a new billy goat and basketball logo is stamped on the sock-liner. Perhaps this is the Swoosh and LBJ scribing their story for the history books.
